BLACK X Smart Lock Passcodes – How to Generate and Manage Keypad Codes

Passcodes are an essential part of managing access and security with the BLACK X smart lock system. The app offers flexible options to generate and customize passcodes for various needs.

The length of the generated code is automatically determined by the system algorithm, based on the expiration period and the complexity of the recurrence. Shorter expiration periods result in shorter codes, while longer periods produce longer codes. The length typically ranges from 6 to 11 digits.

When setting up a code, you can select the "Custom" option to specify a validity period or choose an unlimited duration. Additionally, you have the flexibility to create a code of your choice, ranging from 4 to 9 digits — ideal for using a memorable number.

How to Create a Passcode

To create a code, follow these simple steps:

1. Open the BLACK X app.
2. Go to the Main Menu.
3. Select Keypad passcode.
4. Choose the desired lock for approval.
5. Click Generate Code.
6. From the top bar, select the desired period length. Note: You can choose Custom to manually create a code.
7. Enter the required information.
8. Click Set a Passcode to complete the configuration.
9. Once the code is generated, you can choose to notify the user via SMS or Email by entering their contact details, or click complete to finish.
