Having trouble unlocking your door with the app?
If the BLACK X app is not unlocking the door, there are several things you can check before using a backup method.
First, try the following:
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone
- Ensure you are within close range of the lock
- If Wi-Fi is causing interference, try turning it off or switching to Airplane Mode, then try again
- Close and reopen the BLACK X app, then attempt to unlock again
If the lock still does not respond:
- Make sure the lock has power and is active
- Wait a few seconds and try unlocking again
If you are trying to unlock remotely:
- Ensure the WiFi Bridge is powered on and connected
- Make sure it is within range of the lock
- Check that remote access is enabled in the app
The lock operates via Bluetooth, so even without internet access, you should still be able to unlock the door when nearby.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you can use the mechanical key as a backup to unlock the door. All BLACK X locks include two mechanical keys for this purpose.
